When Tisvildeleje Strandhotel's founder, Frederik Nielsen, built the house in 1895, he had hardly foreseen that the place would once become a romantic gem in the old fishing village.

Back then, Frederik Nielsen ran a grocery store and a taxi center on site. Initially he picked up the countryside in Hillerød, but when the rail rails were brought all the way to Tisvildeleje, a taxi center, grocery store and a stable were transformed into a bathing pension.

If you walk today into the cozy courtyard and into the hall, you are actually standing in the old barn which is used today for weddings and other festive events.

In addition to the decor, which in both living rooms and rooms makes you feel like a mood of bathing hotel and Danish summer, the hotel has 24 rooms with private bath and toilet.

100 meters down the road there is one of Denmark's most beautiful beaches.

In the hotel's backyard, Tisvilde Hegn, which is part of the European Natura 2000, finds collaboration as the area is home to a number of plant and animal species. In addition, one of Denmark's longest MTB tracks is found.

The hotel has its own sought after restaurant. The style is rustic, fresh and homemade based on the season's ingredients, primarily organic. Remember to book a table if you want to dine at the hotel.
