Nordby Kro is located in idyllic Nordby on the main street. With its central location, Nordby Kro is the ideal place to stay and eat.

Many of Nordby's half-timbered houses are well preserved, and near the center there is an old street love. We ourselves thought that Nordby was reminiscent of an old Morten Korch film, which invites you to relax. In the middle of Nordby stands a deep yellow bell tower on an elevation of boulders. This was built in 1857 and it is today one of Samsø's best-known landmarks. Today, the bell is rung for sunrise and sunset from Easter until the autumn holidays.

A 15-minute walk east from Nordby Kro, you will find yourself at Nordby Strand, where there is a jetty, volleyball court and various activities throughout the year.

If you want to experience beautiful natural scenery and peaceful walks, we can recommend Nordby Bakker. A certain place in Nordby hills that we recommend is Ballebjerg, which with its beautiful 64 meters is Samsø's highest point. There is a road leading directly up there from Nordby. From Ballebjerg you can enjoy the view over Tunø and on to Aarhus. This place is particularly beautiful at sunset.
