About Rønhave
In August 2003, Marianne and Hans Iversen bought the farm from the state, which at the time used it as an experimental farm. Since taking over, the farm has been used for rentals, but the idea of creating more activity at Rønhave, which was once full of life, continued to be in their thoughts.
In the autumn of 2010, an opportunity arose. Their daughter Susanne Iversen thought it sounded like an exciting idea to transform Rønhave into a place that both locals and outsiders could enjoy. After completing her education, Susanne moved back to Sønderborg, where the project began.
It was a thorough and exciting renovation, where only the outer raw walls were kept on the first floor, and where we found several things that had been lying under the floor and in the attic for many years. In June 2011, the first three apartments were ready. A year later, all eight apartments were ready to receive guests.
In 2022, Susanne bought, among other things, Rønhave and the associated forests and fields. Today, Rønhave consists of a B&B, cozy glamping tents, a lifestyle store, and a guesthouse. In addition, you will also find the museum and a butcher here on site.
By opening the doors to the farm, we hope to create a lovely place where there is an opportunity to enjoy nature, the old farm, and, not least, relax while recharging for a new day.
